Uttarakhand Forest Department Recruitment 2026 – Junior Research Fellow (JRF) & Junior Project Fellow (JPF)

Applications are invited in the prescribed format (Annexure-II) for engagement of 4 Junior Research Fellow (JRF) / Junior Project Fellow (JPF) for assistance in formation of site-specific plan for Assisted Natural Regeneration (ANR) / CAT Plans / Eco Restoration Works / Green India Mission (GIM) Research Work, monitoring and evaluation of these works, and other related forestry and wildlife activities at field level in various divisions of Yamuna Circle.

Eligibility Criteria

For Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

• Post Graduate Degree in Forestry / Botany / Zoology / Life Science / Experimental Biology / Environmental Science / Biological Sciences / Wildlife Science / Hydrology / Geology / Allied Science / Remote Sensing & GIS / Geography / Surveying or similar discipline from recognized university.
• NET qualification or National level examination conducted by Central Government Departments and agencies such as DST, DBT, DAE, DCS, DRDO, NHRD, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc.
• Minimum 1 year working experience in relevant field.

For Junior Project Fellow (JPF)

• Post Graduate Degree in the above mentioned disciplines from recognized university.
• OR BE/B.Tech/Diploma in Civil Engineering from recognized university.

Age Limit

Maximum Age: 35 Years (Calculated on advertisement publication date)

2. Attach self-attested photocopies of certificates from matriculation onwards.
3. Attach recent passport-size photographs.
4. Attach experience certificates and Aadhaar card copy.
5. Submit application by hand or through Registered/Speed Post.
6. Application may also be sent via email in PDF format to yamunacircle@gmail.com.

Selection Process

• Screening of applications by Screening Committee.
• Shortlisting based on essential qualification, date of birth, completeness of application, experience, desirable qualifications, academic performance.
• Shortlisted candidates will be informed via Email and Mobile.
• Personal Interview by Selection Committee.
• No TA/DA will be paid for attending interview.
• Decision of Selection Committee will be final and binding.

Reservation Details

Candidates must specify category in application form: SC / ST / OBC / General.

Application Fees

Tenure, Leave & Financial Rules

• Initial tenure: 11 months from date of joining.
• Extension possible based on performance and approval.
• Only Casual Leave applicable as per State Government rules.
• TDS will be deducted as per prevailing Income Tax rules.
• Purely contractual engagement with no claim for permanent employment.

Terms & Conditions

• Original certificates must be produced at interview.
• Separate application required for each post.
• Concealing facts or canvassing will lead to disqualification.
• Engagement may be terminated without notice.
• One month notice required for resignation.
• No claim for regularization in Uttarakhand Forest Department.
• Medical fitness certificate required at joining.
• Undertaking required not to approach Court in case of termination.
• Forest Department reserves right to cancel recruitment process anytime.
