Location Details

The recruitment is for SJVN projects and offices in Himachal Pradesh. Candidates may be posted at any SJVN installations, projects, offices, subsidiaries, or joint ventures across India or abroad, depending on organizational requirements. The company’s headquarters is in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, India.

Pay Scale and Benefits

Pay Scale (W3 Level): ₹21,500/- with 3% annual increment.

Other Benefits: Industrial Dearness Allowance (IDA) @ 35% of Basic Pay, House Rent Allowance (HRA), Contributory Provident Fund (CPF), Conveyance Reimbursement, Leave Encashment, Performance Related Pay, and Medical facilities for self and dependents.

After successful completion of the 1-year training period, Workmen Trainees will be regularized in the same pay scale with 3% increment. Further career progression will follow the Promotion Policy of Workmen.

Employment Type

One-year On-job Training followed by regular employment upon successful completion of training. A service bond is mandatory.

Eligibility Criteria

• Only domiciles of Himachal Pradesh are eligible.
• UR/EWS/OBC: Minimum 55% marks in essential qualification.
• SC/ST/PwBD: Minimum 50% marks.
• Final year/semester students of 2025 may apply but must submit final mark sheet during Document Verification.
• Only full-time regular ITI courses from NCVT/SCVT are valid. Distance learning ITI is not accepted.

Age Limit

Upper age limit is 30 years as on 13/10/2025.

Application Process

1. Apply online only via SJVN’s official website.
2. Valid personal email ID and mobile number are mandatory.
3. Scanned copies of passport size photo and signature (JPG/JPEG, under 500 KB) must be uploaded.
4. Application fee must be paid online via Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI.
5. Only one application per post is allowed. In case of multiple applications, the latest will be considered.
6. If CBT dates clash for multiple posts, the candidate must choose one.
7. Admit cards and all updates will be available only through email and the official website.

Application Fees

Fee: ₹200 + 18% GST (non-refundable).

Exempted: SC, ST, EWS, PwBD, and Ex-Servicemen.

Selection Process

The process includes Computer Based Test (CBT), Trade Test (for some posts), and Document Verification.

Computer Based Test (CBT)

• Duration: 2 Hours
• 100 MCQs
• Medium: English and Hindi
• 80 questions from discipline, 20 from Reasoning, Aptitude, English, GK
• 1 mark per correct answer, no negative marking

Qualifying Marks: UR/EWS/Others – 50%; SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PwBD – 40%.

Trade Test (Qualifying Only)

• Qualifying in nature, no weightage in final merit.
• Qualifying Marks: 50% for UR/EWS/Others, 40% for SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PwBD.
• Assistant Trainee: Must pass at least one proficiency test (Hindi/English).

Merit List and Tie-Breaking

• Final Merit List for Electrician, Fitter, Turner, Welder, Storekeeper, Surveyor based on CBT marks only.
• Final Merit List for Assistant (Accounts), Assistant, Driver based on CBT marks of those who qualify Trade Test & Document Verification.
• Candidates scoring below qualifying marks will not be empanelled.
• In case of tie, older candidate will be preferred.

Service Agreement Bond

• General/EWS/OBC: ₹2,00,000 bond for 3 years after training.
• SC/ST/PwBD: ₹1,00,000 bond for 3 years after training.

Medical Fitness

Appointment is subject to medical fitness as per SJVN rules. Candidates should resign from current jobs only after being declared medically fit by SJVN.

Placement and Assignments

Selected candidates will undergo one year of training. Post-training, they may be posted at any project/office of SJVN in India or abroad, or deputed to other PSUs/Departments of Government of India as per requirements.
