Engagement on Contractual Basis – Oil India Limited (OIL)

Oil India Limited (OIL), a Maharatna Public Sector Undertaking, invites eligible Indian Nationals for engagement on a purely contractual basis for immediate deployment at the Field Headquarters, Duliajan, Assam. The engagement is purely temporary in nature and may involve working in shifts, including arduous and hazardous tasks in remote OIL installations or on “On-Call” duty. Only Indian citizens are eligible to apply.

Remuneration and Contract Period

Monthly Emoluments: ₹70,000/- per month.

Additional Benefit: ₹500/- per day as incidental for actual days worked outside the posting location.

Contract Duration: 1 year initially, extendable by another 1 year based on performance and company requirements (maximum 2 years).

Eligibility Criteria

Contractual Mechanical Engineer (Project)

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (4 years) from a Government recognized University/Institute.
Minimum 3 years of post-qualification work experience in any Govt./Public/Private Sector organization of repute.

Contractual Mechanical Engineer (Pipeline Project)

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (4 years) from a Government recognized University/Institute.
Minimum 3 years of post-qualification work experience in relevant fields like pipeline design, construction, or project management.

Contractual Civil Engineer

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (4 years) from a Government recognized University/Institute.
Minimum 3 years of post-qualification work experience in any Govt./Public/Private Sector organization of repute.

Age Limit

Minimum Age: 24 years
Maximum Age: 40 years (as on 27/11/2025)

Selection Process

Selection based on Walk-in-Interview of 100 marks.
Minimum qualifying marks: 50 for all categories.
Assessment parameters include Professional Knowledge, Allied Skills, Personal Attributes, and Soft Skills.
Final selection based on merit as per marks obtained in the interview.

Filled Personal Bio-Data Form (available in the advertisement).
Recent passport-size color photograph (3cm x 3cm).
Valid Photo Identity Proof and Address Proof issued by a Government authority.
Date of Birth proof (Class X certificate).
All semester/year mark sheets and final pass certificates for educational qualifications.
Experience certificates, caste certificates, EWS/Disability/Ex-Serviceman certificates if applicable.
No Objection Certificate from the employer if currently employed.

General Terms and Conditions

The contract can be terminated by either side with 15 days’ notice.
Selected candidates must join immediately after selection; a maximum of 15 days’ extension may be granted.
No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
Candidates must make their own travel and accommodation arrangements.
Engagement is purely contractual and does not guarantee permanent employment.
All taxes applicable shall be borne by the individual.
Selected candidates are entitled to 20 days paid leave per year.
Health fitness and police verification certificates are mandatory before joining.
Posting can be in any location as decided by the company.
Disputes will fall under Dibrugarh District Court jurisdiction.
Oil India Limited reserves the right to cancel or postpone the process at any stage without assigning reasons.
