Remuneration and Benefits

Monthly Salary ₹60,000 – ₹1,20,000 per month

Contract Duration

The contract will be valid till 31 March 2027 and may be extended further subject to satisfactory performance and availability of NHM funds.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide technical and handholding support to States for health system strengthening programs
  • Support hospital strengthening including emergency and critical care services
  • Work on climate resilient infrastructure, referral transport, MMUs, grievance redressal systems and health helplines
  • Support Aspirational District Programme and Indian Public Health Standards (IPHS) 2022
  • Conduct monitoring visits, prepare implementation reports and follow-up actions
  • Draft program documents, guidelines and capacity building materials
  • Analyze HMIS, Quarterly Progress Reports and other datasets
  • Support national, regional and state level workshops and consultations
  • Appraise State PIP proposals for MoHFW decision making
  • Coordinate with development partners and implementing agencies
  • Organize training sessions for public health personnel
  • Participate in National Program Coordination Committee meetings
  • Conduct research studies relevant to NHSRC
  • Collaborate with other NHSRC divisions
  • Perform additional duties assigned by Advisor, PHA

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine / Dental / Nursing / AYUSH / Pharmacy / Healthcare & Hospital Management (Regular mode)
  • Post Graduation or PhD in Public Health / Community Health / Preventive & Social Medicine / MPH / MD Community Medicine / MBA-MHA (Healthcare or Public Health Management)

Work Experience

  • Minimum 2 years post-PG experience for MPH / MBA / MHA candidates
  • Minimum 1 year post-PG experience for MD Community Medicine
  • Experience in NHM, National Health Programs, health planning, policy advocacy or public health system strengthening

Additional Skills

  • Proficiency in English and Hindi
  • Experience in field-level health system strengthening
  • Experience in monitoring & evaluation, data analysis and governance
  • Knowledge of participatory planning, project appraisal and training module development
  • Computer proficiency including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and AI tools
  • Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience at Central or State level health programs
  • Experience at District or sub-district level healthcare services
  • Research experience or published work in public health or health systems
