  • The contract may be extended further based on performance assessment, mutual willingness, and administrative requirements.
  • The engagement may be terminated by either side with one month’s notice or payment of one month’s remuneration in lieu thereof.
  • Unauthorized absence may lead to termination of the engagement.

Remuneration & Salary Structure

  • Maximum consolidated remuneration up to ₹2.75 lakh per month.
  • Salary will be fixed based on experience and professional profile of the selected candidate.
  • Applicable taxes shall be deducted as per Government rules.
  • The remuneration will remain unchanged throughout the tenure of the contract.
  • No House Rent Allowance (HRA) or other allowances are admissible.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess a Master’s degree or higher qualification from a reputed Indian or International institution in any of the following disciplines or related fields:

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum five years of experience in handling multilateral work in UN agencies, International Organizations, International consultancy organizations, or Government of India.
  • Experience of participating in international meetings is desirable.
  • Candidates must possess strong writing, analytical, policy-making, and advocacy skills.
  • Experience in speech writing, analytical documentation, and negotiation strategy formulation is required.
  • Proficiency in computer applications such as MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is mandatory.

Age Limit

The applicant must not be more than 45 years of age as on the last date of submission of application.

Selection Process

  1. Scrutiny and shortlisting of applications by the Ministry.
  2. Shortlisted candidates may be called for an interview and/or written test.
  3. Information regarding interview date, time, and venue will be sent through email.
  4. Final selection will be made by the Government of India.
  5. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

Leave, Working Hours & Other Conditions

  • Working hours: 09:00 AM to 05:30 PM (Monday to Friday).
  • Saturday and Sunday will remain closed as weekend off.
  • Paid leave at the rate of 1.5 days for each completed month of service.
  • Leave cannot be claimed as a matter of right.
  • Maximum leave allowed at one time is 10 days.
  • Leave encashment is not permissible.
  • No entitlement to PF, Pension, Gratuity, Medical facilities, Promotion, Seniority, or any other benefits available to regular employees.
  • The consultant shall not accept any other professional assignment during the engagement period.
  • In case of official travel, expenses for travel, accommodation, and per diem will be borne by the Ministry as per applicable guidelines.
