Eligibility Criteria

• Master’s Degree in Economics / Applied Economics / Business Economics / Master of Business Economics (MBE) / MBA (Business Economics) with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade.
• Candidate must have cleared NET (National Eligibility Test) or SET (State Eligibility Test).
• Ph.D. holders as per UGC Regulations 2009 or 2021 are exempted from NET/SET.
• Foreign degree holders must provide equivalence certificate from UGC.

Age Limit (as on 01.01.2026)

• Minimum Age: 21 years
• Maximum Age: 40 years (for General Category Male)
• Age Relaxation:
  • Female (MP Domicile): 5 years
  • SC/ST/OBC/EWS (MP Domicile): 5 years
  • Government/Board Employees: 5 years
  • Persons with Disability (PwD): up to 10 years

Reservation Details

PWD Reservation includes Locomotor Disability (LD), Visual Handicapped (VH), and Hearing Handicapped (HH). Reservation is as per Madhya Pradesh Government rules (87% horizontal + 13% vertical).

Application Fees

Selection Process

1. Written Examination (Objective Type) – 400 Marks, 2 Hours Duration, Negative Marking applicable, based on UGC NET level syllabus.
2. Interview – 50 Marks.
3. Final Merit based on total marks of Written Exam + Interview and document verification.

• Candidates must apply online through www.mponline.gov.in or www.mppsc.mp.gov.in.
• Register, upload scanned photo and signature, fill form completely, and submit.
• Pay the applicable fee online.
• Print the filled application form for future reference.
• Correction allowed within specified dates with applicable fee.
