Eligibility Criteria

Postgraduate degree in History with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade) from a recognized university.
Must have cleared NET/SET/SLET in History conducted by UGC/CSIR or equivalent.
Candidates with a Ph.D. degree as per UGC Regulation 2009/2018 are exempted from NET/SET/SLET.
Allied Subjects: Modern History, Medieval History, Ancient History.

Age Limit (as on 01.01.2026)

Minimum Age: 21 years
Maximum Age: 40 years
Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST/OBC and Women (M.P. domicile) as per government rules.
