Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must possess a Ph.D. degree from a reputed university or institute in any of the following disciplines:

  • Biomedical Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Computer Science
  • Neuroscience
  • Cognitive Science
  • Artificial Intelligence
  • Signal Processing

Applicants must also have an excellent research track record and publications or patents in areas relevant to the sponsored research project.

Responsibilities and Essential Skillset

  • Demonstrated research experience in EEG and/or fNIRS signal acquisition, processing, and interpretation.
  • Strong background in affective computing, emotion recognition, consumer neuroscience, or human-centered AI.
  • Expertise in deep learning architectures for time-series and multimodal data including CNN, RNN/LSTM, Transformers, Graph Convolutional Networks (GCNs), or hybrid models.
  • Experience in multimodal sensor fusion, statistical validation, and subject-independent modeling.
  • Proficiency in Python programming, scientific computing, and machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
  • Ability to independently design experiments, mentor project staff or students, and contribute to high-quality journal publications and research reports.
  • Experience in statistical analysis, model validation, and reproducibility practices for large-scale experimental datasets including the use of statistical tests, performance metrics, and interpretation of results for peer-reviewed publications.
