Selection Process

• Selection will be through an in-person interview only.

Job Description and Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one counselling support to all students, and be available to staff, faculty, and residents of IIT Gandhinagar.
• Act as the point of contact for students requiring interpersonal or emotional counselling.
• Work with students from diverse social and economic backgrounds.
• May need to work during evenings and/or weekends.
• Conduct workshops, talks, and group discussions to address emotional and interpersonal needs.
• Maintain confidentiality but report extreme cases requiring intervention to Faculty-in-charge, Counselling Services or Dean, Student Affairs.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Institute.

Terms and Conditions of Engagement

1. Selection will be based on interview and only the shortlisted candidates will be intimated well in advance.
2. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
3. The incumbent will not have any legal right to claim regularization/appointment by absorption or otherwise against any regular posts or further contractual engagement upon termination of the contract.
4. The Institute reserves the right to reject any or all applications without assigning any reason.
5. The Institute reserves the right to waive or relax any conditions.
6. The Institute reserves the right not to fill up any of these posts.
