National e-Governance Division (NeGD), Digital India Corporation, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India has released a vacancy notification dated 21.04.2026 for contractual recruitment of Assistant General Manager and Deputy General Manager positions. Eligibility Criteria

Only Indian Nationals who appeared in the Interview stage of UPSC Civil Services Examination in 2022, 2023, 2024 or 2025 are eligible to apply.

Programme Management Domain

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University / Institute in a suitable discipline.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of work experience in project operations, project activities, project appraisals and budgeting.
  • Desirable: MBA / PGDM / CA / CS and experience or exposure in Digital Transformation initiatives.

Technology Management Domain

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering in any stream.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of professional experience in IT / Digital / Technology roles and familiarity with emerging technologies.
  • Desirable: Experience or exposure in Digital Transformation initiatives.

  1. Candidates must apply in the prescribed format attached as Annexure A in the notification.

  4. The email ID entered in the form must remain active until the recruitment process is completed.

Selection Process

  • Shortlisting will be based on UPSC Civil Services Examination marks and NeGD’s functional requirements.
  • Candidates will be called for interview in a 1:5 ratio.
  • 60% weightage will be given to UPSC Civil Services Examination marks, including Mains and Personality Test.
  • 40% weightage will be given to NeGD interview performance.
  • Interview will be conducted in New Delhi.
  • Candidates working in Government / PSU / Autonomous / Statutory Organizations must produce NOC at the time of interview.
