Essential Qualifications and Experience

• Junior Technical Assistant: Bachelor’s degree in Science/Engineering/Technology (≥ 55%) with 5 years relevant laboratory/technical experience.
• Junior Assistant (MS): Graduate (≥ 50%) in any discipline with 3 years office experience; computer proficiency in Word/Excel/PowerPoint; typing & shorthand desirable.
• Lab Assistant: B.Sc. (Physics/Chemistry/Biology/Earth & Environmental Sciences – ≥ 50%) with 3 years lab experience; M.Sc. preferred.

Age Relaxation Rules

• SC/ST – 5 years; OBC (NCL) – 3 years; PwBD – 10 years (13 for OBC PwBD, 15 for SC/ST PwBD)
• Ex-Servicemen – Service length + 3 years
• Govt Employees (Group C) – 40 yrs (UR/EWS), 43 yrs (OBC), 45 yrs (SC/ST)
• Regular IISER Bhopal employees with ≥ 3 yrs service – no upper age limit

Application Procedure

Apply online through the official portal iiserb.ac.in/join_iiserb. After submission, send the signed printout of the application form (by Registered/Speed Post/Courier) to the address below by 30-12-2025 (5 PM):

Application Fees / Communication Charge

• No application fee for any category.
• All candidates must pay a non-refundable communication charge of ₹ 100 through SBI Payment Gateway (Net Banking, Card, or UPI).

Selection Process

1. Level 1 – Screening: Scrutiny of online applications based on eligibility and experience.
2. Level 2 – Screening/Skill/Trade Tests: 100 marks (50 Objective + 50 Descriptive); qualifying only. Minimum Qualifying Marks – UR/EWS 50%, OBC 45%, SC/ST 40%.
3. Level 3 – Interview: Final selection based on performance and suitability in personal interaction.

The Institute may also conduct computer skill or trade tests. A panel of selected candidates will remain valid for one year.

Documents Required for Verification

• Signed hard copy of application form
• 10th & 12th certificates and mark sheets
• Degree/Diploma and mark sheets of all qualifications
• Experience certificates (on organization letterhead)
• Category / PwBD / EWS / Ex-Servicemen certificates as applicable
• NOC (if currently in Govt/PSU/autonomous service)
