The engagement is across various states and postal circles in India. Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit 20 to 35 years (as on 01 August 2025)
Educational Qualification Graduate in any discipline (Regular or Distance Learning) from a University/Institution/Board recognized by the Government of India or approved by a Government Regulatory Body.
Experience No prior experience required.
Other Requirements The applicant must have no pending vigilance/disciplinary cases and must not be serving any punishment at the time of application.

Tenure of Engagement

  • Initial engagement is for 1 year.
  • May be renewed for up to 2 additional years based on satisfactory performance.
  • Engagement is temporary and does not guarantee regular absorption in IPPB.
  • Business performance will be reviewed every six months.
  • Cooling-off period of 2 years is mandatory after every engagement.

Job Profile

  • Achieve monthly revenue targets through direct sales of IPPB products.
  • Organize customer acquisition events and financial literacy campaigns.
  • Train and educate GDS personnel on IPPB products and services.
  • Coordinate with Department of Posts inspectors and Postmasters.
  • Assist GDS in customer acquisition for IPPB and partner organizations.
  • Develop and manage relationships with channel partners to meet business goals.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Bank from time to time.

Pay and Allowances

  • The Bank will pay a lump sum remuneration of ₹30,000 per month (inclusive of all deductions).
  • Tax deductions will be applied as per Income Tax Act.
  • Annual increment and incentives will depend on performance in sales and business generation.
  • No other allowances, bonuses, or benefits will be provided apart from the above.

Selection Process

  1. Selection will be based on the percentage of marks obtained in Graduation.
  2. In case of a tie in marks:
    • The candidate with greater seniority in service at the Department of Posts will be preferred.
    • If seniority is also equal, the candidate with an earlier date of birth will be selected.
  3. The Bank reserves the right to conduct an Online Test if necessary.
  4. Document verification will include:
    • Statement of penalties (major/minor) in last five years.
    • Vigilance Clearance Certificate from Divisional/Sub-Divisional Head.
  5. Final selection results will be displayed on the official IPPB website only.

Application Fee

  • Application Fee: ₹750/- (Non-refundable)
  • Ensure eligibility before payment as fees once paid will not be refunded or reserved for future processes.

Leaves and Service Conditions

  • Leave will be governed by GDS Conduct & Engagement Rules, 2020.
  • Payment during leave period will be made by IPPB.
  • Ad hoc engagement will be treated as duty for seniority and discharge benefits under GDS service.

Code of Conduct

  • GDS (Conduct and Engagement) Rules, 2020 shall apply.
  • Misconduct or indiscipline during engagement may lead to repatriation and disciplinary action.
  • Engagement is fixed term and does not lead to permanent absorption.
  • IPPB will reimburse proportionate discharge benefits to the Department of Posts.
  • Unauthorized absence will result in immediate repatriation.
