Eligibility Criteria

  • Must have passed VII Class (7th) or Intermediate fail.
  • Candidate must be of sound health, active habits, and free from any bodily defect or infirmity rendering him/her unfit for service.
  • Character and antecedents must be such as would not disqualify for the service.

Age Limit

Applicants must have completed the age of 18 years and must not have completed the age of 42 years as on 30.09.2025.

  • Relaxation of 5 years for candidates belonging to SCs, STs, and BCs.
  • Relaxation of 10 years for physically disabled persons.
  • Ex-servicemen relaxation as per A.P. State and Subordinate Service Rules, 1996 read with A.P. Last Grade Service Rules, 1992.

Application Process

Eligible candidates must submit applications in the prescribed format along with all required enclosures. The applications must be sent in a closed cover addressed to:

Applications may be submitted by Registered Post or by hand under proper acknowledgment or by courier.

The envelope should be superscribed as:

Applications received after the last date or incomplete in any respect will be summarily rejected.

Documents to be Enclosed

  1. Attested copies of certificates of Academic and Technical Qualifications.
  2. Certificate evidencing Date of Birth.
  3. Attested copy of the latest Community Certificate issued by the Competent Revenue Authority (for BC, SC & ST candidates).
  4. Self-addressed cover duly stamped worth ₹75/- for registered post with acknowledgment due.
  5. One recent passport size photograph of the applicant attested by any Gazetted Officer to be affixed at the top of the application in the space specified.
  6. Certificate of service as Office Subordinate, if any.

Mode of Selection

Selection will be made purely on the basis of an interview conducted by the District Legal Services Authority, Kurnool, as per guidelines issued by the Hon’ble A.P. State Legal Services Authority, Amaravathi, under NALSA LADCS Scheme & Guidelines.

  • The appointed candidates must discharge their duties sincerely, courteously, and honestly to the satisfaction of the competent authority.
  • The services of the appointed candidates are liable to be terminated/cancelled at any time without assigning reasons as the appointment is purely temporary and on honorarium basis.

Termination of Services

The services of the Office Subordinate may be terminated at any time without prior notice by the Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Kurnool, or under directions from the A.P. State Legal Services Authority, Amaravathi, in writing, under any of the following circumstances:

  • Substantial breach of any duty or service required in the office.
  • Seeking or accepting any pecuniary gains from legal aid seekers or beneficiaries or their relatives.
  • Being charged or convicted for any offence.
  • Engaging in political activities.
  • Being found incapable or rendering services below required standards.
  • Engaging in acts prejudicial to the working of the Legal Aid Defense Counsel System office.
  • Using official position to secure unwarranted privileges or advantages for self or others.
  • Acting in breach of code of ethics.
  • Remaining absent without leave for more than two weeks.
