Job Description

The Junior Software Developer will work on large-scale Digital Public Infrastructure systems including secure academic credential platforms. The role involves backend development, cloud-based processing, and handling high-volume data systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and optimize backend services and REST APIs
• Work with MongoDB for data storage and performance tuning
• Design and manage data pipelines (MongoDB to AWS Redshift)
• Implement AWS services such as EC2, S3, IAM, Glue, Redshift, CloudWatch
• Manage encryption workflows using AWS KMS
• Work with AWS Nitro Enclaves for secure environments
• Integrate cryptographic services with backend systems
• Use RabbitMQ for asynchronous processing
• Manage Dockerized applications
• Troubleshoot production issues and monitor system performance
• Ensure data security and compliance
• Collaborate with teams and prepare documentation

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or related field

Experience

• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of Python
• Working knowledge of PHP (preferred)
• Experience with MongoDB
• Familiarity with AWS services
• Experience with Docker
• Knowledge of RabbitMQ
• Understanding of ETL processes and data pipelines
• Basic Linux knowledge

Preferred Experience

• Experience in cloud-based or distributed systems
• Knowledge of secure system design and encryption
• Experience with large-scale data processing
• CI/CD pipeline experience
• Exposure to government or public sector projects (optional)
