Bank of Baroda has released an official recruitment notification for the appointment of Business Correspondent (BC) Coordinator on a contractual basis for the Jhansi district in Uttar Pradesh. Important Dates

Application Process

  • Candidates must apply through the offline application mode.
  • Duly filled application form must be submitted along with educational qualification documents and other relevant documents.
  • Applications will be considered valid only if submitted in hard copy.
  • The envelope containing the application should clearly mention the title:
    “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF BUSINESS CORRESPONDENT COORDINATOR ON CONTRACTUAL BASIS”
  • The application must be sent to the Regional Office address mentioned in the notification.

Eligibility Criteria

For Retired Bank Employees

  • Retired officers including voluntarily retired officers of any bank (PSU, RRB, Private Banks, Cooperative Banks) up to the rank of Chief Manager or equivalent may apply.
  • Retired clerks or equivalent staff of Bank of Baroda having passed JAIIB with a good track record are eligible.
  • Applicants must have rural banking experience of at least 3 years.
  • Maximum age for continuation as BC Supervisor will be 65 years.

For Young Candidates

  • Minimum qualification should be a Graduate.
  • Candidates must possess computer knowledge including MS Office, Email, and Internet.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with qualifications such as M.Sc (IT), BE (IT), MCA, or MBA.
  • Candidates should fall within the age group of 21 to 45 years at the time of appointment.
  • Maximum age for continuation as BC Supervisor will be 65 years.

Additional Eligibility Conditions

  • Candidates should be residents of the same district where the vacancy is declared or adjoining districts.
  • Candidates must be proficient in the local language including reading and writing.
  • Candidates should be willing to visit villages in the district periodically for supervision activities.
  • Candidates should have accommodation near the nodal branch and not outside the district.
  • Due diligence including KYC verification and CIBIL score verification will be conducted.
  • Applicants having adverse records or who were terminated or dismissed from previous service will not be considered.
  • Police verification will be conducted before assigning duties.

Contract Period

The contract period will initially be for 36 months and will be subject to annual performance review.

Selection Process

  • Selection will be conducted through an Interview process.
  • The interview will be conducted by a committee headed by the Regional Head.
  • The final decision of the bank regarding selection will be final and binding.

Salary, Remuneration and Allowances

Variable remuneration will be determined based on performance parameters. The evaluation will be carried out monthly according to business requirements and guidelines determined by the Financial Inclusion Department of the bank.

Certification Requirement

  • BC Supervisors must obtain IIBF BC certification within 2 months from the date of joining.
  • The bank will reimburse the registration fee one time upon successful completion.
  • If certification is not completed within 2 months, deductions will apply.
  • From 3rd to 6th month: ₹1000 will be deducted from fixed component.
  • From 7th to 12th month: ₹2000 will be deducted from fixed component.
  • After 12 months: Contract will not be renewed.
  • Retired bank staff who have already completed JAIIB/CAIIB are exempted from this certification.

Leave Policy

  • Leave entitlement is calculated at 2.5 days per completed month from the date of joining.
  • For more than 3 days leave, at least 7 days prior notice must be given.
  • Weekly offs and public holidays falling within leave period will be counted as part of leave.
  • Extraordinary Leave on Loss of Pay (ELOP) may be granted in exceptional circumstances.
  • Maximum ELOP allowed during the entire engagement period is 60 days.
  • ELOP can be availed maximum twice during the total term of engagement.

Termination of Services

  • Either party may terminate the contract by giving 30 days notice.
  • In case of misconduct or unsatisfactory performance, the bank can terminate the contract without prior notice.
  • The Regional Head will have the authority to decide such cases.
  • Supervisors involved in fraudulent activities will be blacklisted.

Important Instructions

If any candidate provides incorrect information or violates the recruitment process at any stage, their candidature will be disqualified.
  • The bank reserves the right to reject any application at any stage.
  • The bank may increase or decrease vacancies depending on requirement.
  • The bank may cancel the recruitment process entirely without assigning any reason.
  • All decisions of the bank related to recruitment will be final and binding.
