Application Process

Candidates must download the application form from the official website of Assam Science and Technology University (ASTU) and submit the duly filled application form along with all essential documents in a sealed envelope. The envelope should be superscribed as:

“Advertisement No. 05/2025: Application for Teaching Engagement(s)”

Documents to be enclosed:

1. No Objection Certificate (if applicable) from parent department/institution.
2. Certificate from parent department/organization/institution stating that no departmental enquiry is proposed or pending.
3. Self-attested copies of certificates/letters supporting educational qualifications, experience, and other relevant documents.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have the requisite qualifications and relevant experience as per the latest UGC/AICTE guidelines applicable for university faculty positions at appropriate levels.

Preference will be given to candidates willing to teach multiple subjects with specializations in the following areas:

• Artificial Intelligence (AI)
• Data Science and Analytics
• Cyber Security
• Machine Learning (ML)
• Internet of Things (IoT)

Age Limit and Reservation

Selection Process

• Selection will be based on interview and evaluation of qualifications and experience as per University norms.
• No TA/DA will be paid to candidates for attending the interview.
• The University reserves the right to modify, withdraw, or cancel the advertisement at any stage.
• The decision of the University shall be final and binding in all matters related to selection.
• Engagement is purely temporary and does not confer any right for future employment or regularization.
• Services may be terminated with 24 hours’ notice without assigning any reason.

Other Important Information

• Initial engagement will be for one semester and may be renewed for one more semester (maximum duration 11 months).
• Renewal depends on the quality of teaching feedback and research contribution during the tenure.
• Selected candidates are expected to publish research papers in SCI or equivalent reputed journals.
• No separate remuneration or honorarium will be applicable for conducting internal or end-semester evaluations.
• Preference will be given to candidates willing to teach multiple subjects in emerging areas.
• Number of candidates selected will depend on the availability of funds for self-financing programs run by ASTU.
• All disputes related to this recruitment shall be under the jurisdiction of Guwahati, Assam only.
