Eligibility Criteria

Project Technical Support – III (Senior Technician)

• Three-year Graduate Degree in Life Sciences / Biotechnology / Microbiology / Histology / Medical Laboratory Technology / Allied Health Sciences with three years experience in relevant field.
• OR Postgraduate Degree in relevant subject.

Project Technical Support – II (Technician)

• 12th Pass in Science with Diploma (DMLT / MLT / Histotechnology / Allied Health) and five years experience.
• OR Three-year Graduate Degree in relevant subject with two years experience.

Specific Domain Requirements

Molecular Biology Support

• DNA/RNA extraction
• PCR and RT-PCR
• Electrophoresis
• NGS workflow assistance
• ELISA assays
• Biological sample processing and storage

Histology Support

• Tissue processing and embedding
• Microtomy and slide preparation
• Routine staining such as H&E
• Special staining techniques
• Assistance in immunohistochemistry
• Microscopy imaging and documentation

Cell Culture Support

• Mammalian cell culture under aseptic conditions
• Media preparation and maintenance
• Cell passaging and cryopreservation
• Contamination monitoring
• Biosafety cabinet handling
• Viability assays and experimental models

General Laboratory Support

• Microbiology laboratory assistance
• Media preparation and sterilization
• Equipment maintenance
• Sample transport and labeling
• Inventory tracking
• Laboratory documentation and record maintenance

Desirable Skills

• Experience in biomedical or translational research projects
• Knowledge of biosafety and infection-control practices
• Basic computer proficiency including MS Office and database entry
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary clinical-engineering teams
• Strong organizational and documentation skills

Age Limit

• Project Technical Support – II: Maximum 35 Years
• Project Technical Support – III: Maximum 30 Years
• Age relaxation applicable as per Government of India norms.

Service Terms and Conditions

• The posts are temporary and purely contractual.
• Initial appointment will be for eleven months.
• Extension depends on performance and budget approval by DHR.
• Candidates will not be treated as regular employees of AIIMS Rishikesh.
• No additional benefits or allowances are provided beyond fixed salary.
• Government taxes will be deducted as applicable.
• Contract may be terminated with one month notice by either side.
