India discovers natural gas in the Andaman Sea

According to report, Oil India Ltd has discovered natural gas in the deep waters of the Andaman Sea. The discovery was made at a depth of around 355 mtrs of water and during drilling of more than 1900 mtrs, which was confirmed through flaring tests. If large reserves are confirmed, it could help reduce the country’s dependence on imports.
