Heavy snow on Hemkund Sahib route in Chamoli district, doors to open on May 23

According to reports, the doors of Hemkund Sahib, located in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, will open on May 23, but more than 7 feet of accumulated snow remains a major challenge for the pilgrimage. It is reported that the Army and Gurudwara teams have inspected the route and begun preparations to clear the snow.
