Devotees take holy dip of faith in Haridwar on Somvati Amavasya

According to reports, on the occasion of Somvati Amavasya in Haridwar, lakhs of devotees arrived for a holy dip in the Ganga, leading to massive crowds and heavy traffic pressure in the city and at the ghats. Devotees came from several North Indian states, while police, SDRF, and NDRF teams were deployed for security and crowd control.
