On 13.07.23 at around 12:45 a person was taking a bath in the Ganga at Yoga Niketan Ghat, while taking bath he got caught in the strong current of the river Ganga, which after much effort was rescued by the Tehri District Water Police Team and 40 Battalion Haridwar Disaster Relief Team personnel. After a lot of effort, the rescue was done safely. He was given first aid on the spot and was sent to Rishikesh Government Hospital with the help of an ambulance.
