According to the India Meteorological Department, the highest temperature of 47.6°C has been recorded in Ganganagar, Rajasthan, while a heatwave continues in several parts of northwest India. A red alert has been issued for Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab, and Madhya Pradesh.
