प्रायः नदी और नहर में डूब कर मृत्यू होने की घटनाएं होती रहती हैं किन्तु जाने क्यों आज का युवा इन घटनाओं को अनदेखा कर फिर रिस्क लेने को उतारू नजर आते हैं। लोहे के पुल के पास स्थित गंगनहर के किनारे पर बीते दिन दिनांक 26 जून 2022 को बहादराबाद पुलिस ने चेकिंग अभियान चलाकर 10 लोगों के चालान किया गया। साथ ही कई युवाओं को होने वाली घटनाओं के बारे में बताते हुए जागरुक किया गया।
