Selection Process & Key Notes

  • If eligible candidates are more than 5 times the vacancies for a post, a written MCQ test (subject related) will be conducted.
  • Based on the score, a merit list will be prepared; interview of only top scorers (5 times the number of vacancy) will be conducted.
  • Original documents will be verified before interview.
  • Selection Committee decision is final and may alter number of vacancies.
  • No TA/DA will be paid for attending walk-in interview.
  • Work may require travelling outside city and overnight stay.

Tenure & General Terms (Key Points)

  • Initial appointment for 6 months, extendable for another 6 months based on performance.
  • Temporary for fixed term; ends automatically on expiry unless renewed / re-employment letter issued.
  • Termination/leave: 1 month notice for termination or leaving contract (as mentioned).
  • Applicable Government taxes may be deducted from consolidated pay.
  • Not treated as regular employee of SMIMER/DHR/ICMR; no claim on regular post.
  • Not entitled to medical aid/bonus/regular staff facilities.
  • Leave: Six (06) casual leaves + 1 sectional off in 6 months; public holidays applicable; written permission required before leave.
  • Disputes under Surat city jurisdiction; Dean, SMIMER decision final.
