Eligibility Criteria

  • MBBS degree from a recognized university by the Medical Council of India in the Allopathic system of medicine (minimum requirement).
  • Candidates with Master’s Degree in General Medicine are also eligible.
  • Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience in Allopathic system of medicine as a Registered Medical Practitioner.
  • Residence or dispensary should be located within 3–5 km from RBI Dispensary, Vijayawada.

Reservation Details

  • Total Posts: 1 (Unreserved – UR)
  • SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/EWS candidates may apply, but must meet UR eligibility criteria.
  • Creamy Layer OBC candidates should apply under General (UR) category.
  • Relevant caste certificates must be submitted in the prescribed format.

Selection Process

  1. Shortlisting of candidates based on eligibility.
  2. Interview of shortlisted candidates (bank may raise minimum standards).
  3. Medical examination as per Bank’s norms (at applicant’s cost).
  4. Final selection subject to medical fitness and acceptance of contract terms and code of conduct.
  5. Agreement signing before engagement.

Remuneration and Service Conditions

  • Fixed hourly remuneration: ₹1000 per hour.
  • ₹1000/month for conveyance and ₹1000/month mobile reimbursement.
  • Engagement is part-time and purely on contract basis for 3 years (non-renewable).
  • No entitlement to regular employment, pension, PF, gratuity, leave, or other benefits.
  • Engagement hours may be extended up to 30 hours/week based on Bank’s requirements.
  • Public holiday duty will be compensated at ₹1000 per hour.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Attend dispensary during prescribed hours and provide medical advice, treatment, and prescriptions.
  • Administer injections, treat minor/major illnesses, provide emergency care, and perform minor surgeries when needed.
  • Make home visits to RBI staff if requested, and provide reports.
  • Certify sick leaves, endorse external medical certificates, and issue fitness/health certificates as required.
  • Inspect office hygiene monthly and vaccinate for prophylactic measures (e.g., typhoid, smallpox).
  • Advise on drug indents, stock balance, and costs related to medical claims.
  • Submit annual health reports and cooperate in facilitating hospital arrangements for employees.

Code of Conduct (Annex-II)

  • Maintain confidentiality of Bank matters and behave with courtesy.
  • Avoid political activity and association with trade unions.
  • No outsourcing, gift acceptance, or unauthorized absence.
  • Strict compliance with laws on drugs/alcohol and professional ethics.
  • No involvement in sexual harassment or other misconduct.
  • Violation of code can result in termination of contract.

Contract Termination

  • Contract is valid for 3 years from date of commencement.
  • Either party can terminate with 3 months’ notice or 3 months’ pay in lieu.
  • Disputes are subject to jurisdiction of courts at Vijayawada or High Court at Amaravati.
