Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• B.E. / B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering or Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 50% marks
• Degree must be obtained from a recognized University / Institution approved by AICTE / UGC / Government of India
• Only full-time regular courses will be considered

Experience Requirement

• Minimum 7 years of post-qualification experience in Optical Fibre Cable (OFC) project execution and network management
• Out of the above, at least 4 years of hands-on experience in Operation & Maintenance (O&M) of Fiber Optic Networks
• Internship, apprenticeship, training, teaching, academic or freelancing experience shall not be treated as qualifying experience

Essential Skills

• Preventive and corrective maintenance of OFC networks
• OTDR-based fault diagnostics and fusion splicing
• Strong understanding of fibre optic transmission, signal propagation and cable management practices
• Experience in SLA and KPI monitoring, fault resolution and network performance optimization

Desirable Skills

• Familiarity with GIS, ABD, RFMS and Network Management Systems (NMS)
• Experience with OTDR, Power Meters, Fusion Splicers and Visual Fault Locators (VFL)
• Proficiency in MS Office and basic network monitoring and reporting tools

Age Limit

• Maximum Age: 40 years as on 19 December 2025
• Age Relaxation: Applicable for SC / ST / OBC (NCL) / PwBD / Ex-Servicemen as per Government of India guidelines

Remuneration

Monthly consolidated remuneration shall be negotiable and commensurate with educational qualification, relevant experience and market benchmarks. Statutory deductions such as EPF (employee’s share), Income Tax and Professional Tax shall be applicable. Employer’s contribution towards EPF shall form part of the Cost to Company (CTC).

Tenure of Contract

• Initial engagement for a period of one year
• Extendable up to three years based on project requirement and satisfactory performance
• Contract shall automatically cease on expiry unless extended by RVNL

Selection Process

• Selection shall be through Walk-in Interview
• Assessment will be based on experience, domain knowledge and suitability
• No request for postponement of interview will be entertained

Application Fees

Service Bond & Notice Period

• One month advance notice required from either side for termination
• Selected candidates must execute a service bond equivalent to two months’ consolidated remuneration for a minimum period of one year

Medical Fitness & Expenses

• Medical fitness is mandatory before joining
• No TA/DA or travelling, lodging or boarding expenses will be reimbursed
