Pay Scale and Employment Type

Selected candidates will be placed in the Industrial Dearness Allowance (IDA) pay scale of ₹ 50,000 – 3% – ₹ 1,60,000 (E-2 Grade). The approximate monthly emoluments will be around ₹ 1,00,000/- (Rupees One Lakh Approx.).

Eligibility Criteria

Executive Trainee (Electrical / Mechanical)

  • Full-time Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology/AMIE in Electrical, Electrical & Electronics, Mechanical, or Mechanical & Automation Engineering.
  • Minimum 65% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates).
  • Must have appeared and qualified in GATE 2025 in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.

Executive Trainee (Civil)

  • Full-time Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology/AMIE in Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum 65% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates).
  • Must have appeared and qualified in GATE 2025 (Civil Engineering).

Executive Trainee (IT)

  • Full-time Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology/AMIE in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology.
  • Minimum 65% marks (55% for SC candidates).
  • Must have appeared and qualified in GATE 2025 (Computer Science & Information Technology - CS).

Relaxations in upper age limit are applicable as per Government of India guidelines, including relaxation for PwBD, Ex-Servicemen, and Jammu & Kashmir domiciles (1980–1989).

Reservation Details

Reservations for SC, ST, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), EWS, PwBD, and Ex-Servicemen categories are applicable as per the Government of India rules. OBC (NCL) and EWS certificates must be issued in the current financial year by the competent authority.

Application Fee

  • General / EWS / OBC (NCL): ₹ 560 (Non-refundable)
  • SC / ST / PwBD / ESM / Female Candidates: Exempted from fee payment
  • Payment Mode: Online via SBI e-Pay favouring NEEPCO
  • Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.

Service Agreement Bond

  • General / EWS / OBC (NCL): ₹ 2,50,000/-
  • SC / ST: ₹ 1,25,000/-
  • Minimum Service Period: 5 years including training period

Selection Process

The selection of candidates will be based exclusively on GATE 2025 scores. There will be no Group Discussion or Personal Interview. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria and have valid GATE 2025 scores will be shortlisted in order of merit. In case of a tie, the candidate older in age will be given preference.

Training and Placement

Selected candidates shall undergo one-year training at any one or more locations of NEEPCO. After successful completion of training, they will be placed in E-3 Grade. Candidates may be posted anywhere in India in any of NEEPCO’s Power Stations, Projects, or Offices.
