National Institute of Technology Silchar invites applications from eligible and motivated Indian citizens for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under a time-bound research project funded by CSIR. The appointment is purely temporary and contractual for a period of three years, with yearly extensions based on performance review.

Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualification

  • B.S. 4-year programme / B.Pharm / MBBS / Integrated BS-MS / M.Sc / BE / B.Tech or equivalent degree with minimum 55% marks.
  • Must have qualified NET or GATE.

Desirable Experience

  • M.Sc in Physics.
  • Experience in nanomaterials synthesis and characterization.

Age Limit

  • Maximum Age: 28 years
  • Age Relaxation: Up to 5 years for SC / ST / OBC / Women / PWD.

Job Description

  • Synthesis of quantum dots.
  • Synthesis of titania nanomaterials.
  • Development of metal oxide hetero-junctions.
  • Fabrication and testing of photocatalytic reactor for green hydrogen generation.
