Job Responsibilities

• Collection and processing of biological samples as per study protocol.
• Data collection, entry, and maintenance of study records.

Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualifications

• B.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the pathology field OR M.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT).
• Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing Tamil, as the project involves patient communication and consent facilitation.

Desirable Qualification

• Prior experience in sample collection, processing, and handling in a research or clinical setting.

Age Limit

Maximum age limit is 30 years as on the last date of receipt of applications.

Eligible and interested candidates may attend the walk-in interview with the duly filled application form (attached with the notification), along with their Curriculum Vitae (CV) and all supporting documents such as educational certificates, experience proof, and identity proof.

Applications submitted in formats other than the prescribed one will not be considered. Candidates will be shortlisted based on application details, CV, and documentary proof. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the written test/interview.

Selection Process

1. Written Test: The written test will assess:
   • Clinical trials and clinical research.
   • Fundamentals of Good Clinical Laboratory Practice (GCLP).
   • Handling biological samples under sterile conditions and maintaining specimen integrity.
   • Data entry skills, and basic knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word.
2. Interview: Conducted by a panel of experts to evaluate:
   • Understanding of clinical workflow and GCLP principles.
   • Regulatory compliance awareness.
   • Communication skills and aptitude for the role.

The final selection will be based on performance in the written test and interview.

Terms and Conditions

• This position is purely on a contract basis for an externally sponsored project. The selected person will have no claim to any regular post in JIPMER.
• The appointment is project-based and will depend on external funding support.
• The engagement may be extended or curtailed at the discretion of the Project Investigator.
• Qualification and experience must be in relevant disciplines and from recognized institutions.
• Experience should be after obtaining the essential qualification.
• Terms and conditions may be relaxed or altered at the discretion of the Principal Investigator.
• A valid email ID and mobile number are mandatory.
• Only consolidated salary will be provided; no other allowances are admissible.
• Submission of false information or canvassing will lead to disqualification or termination.
• Only shortlisted candidates will be called for written test/interview; decision of PI is final.
• If the number of applications is large, stricter criteria may be applied for shortlisting.
• No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
• Incomplete applications and those not in the prescribed format will be rejected.
• Interview may be conducted in person or via videoconferencing at the PI’s discretion.
• Candidates opting for online interview must ensure a device with camera, audio, and stable internet connection.
