Eligibility Criteria

• Ph.D. with first class or equivalent in the preceding degree in the relevant branch.
• Consistently good academic record throughout.
• Good communication skills and commitment to high quality undergraduate and postgraduate education.
• Demonstrated ability to carry out original and creative research.
• Assistant Professor Grade I: Minimum 3 years of industrial/research/teaching experience (excluding the period during Ph.D.).
• Assistant Professor Grade II: Ph.D. holders with less than 3 years of experience.

Age Limit

Preferably below 35 years of age. Relaxations apply as per Government of India norms:

• SC / ST / PwBD: 5 years relaxation
• OBC-NCL: 3 years relaxation
• Women candidates are especially encouraged to apply.

Reservation Details

Employment Type

• Full-time positions for Indian nationals.
• Foreign nationals appointed on initial 5-year contract basis, renewable after completion.
• Half-time appointments possible for foreign nationals who are not on OCI status.

Selection Process

• Shortlisting based on qualifications, experience, research, and publications.
• Shortlisted candidates will be invited for interview.
• Interview invitation does not guarantee appointment.
• Outstation candidates called for interview will be reimbursed to and fro 2-tier AC railway fare or economy airfare within India.
• Candidates traveling from abroad will be reimbursed up to ₹ 40,000 or actual fare, whichever is lower.
