Training and Employment Details

Type of Engagement: Apprenticeship Training (Under the Apprentices Act, 1961)
Duration: One Year
Employment after Training: No employment or extension will be provided after completion of the training period.
Accommodation: Candidates must make their own arrangements for stay during the training period.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have obtained a B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering with at least 55% marks from a recognized and AICTE-approved Institute/University.
Candidates who have passed the qualifying examination in 2023, 2024, or 2025 are eligible to apply.
Candidates awaiting their results are not eligible to apply.
Candidates who have already undergone apprenticeship training in any other organization are not eligible.

Reservation Details

Reservation of seats for apprenticeship training will be followed as per Government of India directives and the Apprenticeship Act, 1961 (as amended from time to time).

Selection Process

No interview will be conducted.
Selection will be purely on merit based on marks obtained in the qualifying degree.
Shortlisted candidates will be informed through email and the list will be uploaded on the EPI official website.
Shortlisted candidates will have to produce original documents and certificates for verification.
Selected candidates must also provide a medical fitness certificate before joining.

Applications must be submitted strictly through email as per the prescribed format (Annexure-I for Guwahati, Annexure-II for Chennai). No other mode of application will be accepted.

Additional Information

Apprentices must sign a Contract of Apprenticeship before commencing training.
All terms and conditions of training will be governed by this contract.
No overtime work is permitted during the training period.
Candidates must ensure they meet eligibility criteria as of the cutoff date.
Candidates found to have provided false information or concealed facts will have their candidature cancelled and may face legal action.
Conversion of CGPA/OGPA/DGPA to percentage will follow university/institute rules. If not available, a CGPA of 6.0 on a 10-point scale will be considered equivalent to 60%.
Marks will be calculated as per consolidated mark sheet issued by the university; if not available, average of all semesters will be used.
