District Legal Services Authority Haridwar Recruitment 2026 for Para Legal Volunteers (PLV)

The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Haridwar, functioning under the guidance of the Uttarakhand State Legal Services Authority, Nainital, has released an official notification inviting applications for the selection of Para Legal Volunteers (PLV). The recruitment is being conducted to support free legal aid and legal awareness activities in various development blocks of Haridwar district.

As per the instructions issued by the Uttarakhand State Legal Services Authority vide letter number 2668/UKSLSA/2025 dated 04 December 2025, eligible and interested candidates are invited to submit their applications for selection as Para Legal Volunteers. The selection is intended to strengthen legal aid outreach in rural and underserved areas of the district.

Candidates interested in serving as Para Legal Volunteers must fill out the application form in the prescribed format provided in the notification. All required information must be filled carefully and accurately.

The completed application form must be submitted through one of the following methods:

Candidates must apply from the development block where they permanently reside. Applicants should be capable of providing sufficient time to carry out the responsibilities assigned by the District Legal Services Authority.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Minimum qualification required is Matriculation (10th Pass).
• Preference will be given to candidates with higher qualifications such as graduation or diploma.
• Candidates having knowledge of computers will be given preference.
• Candidates having experience in social service activities will be given priority.

• Law students
• Candidates holding MSW diploma
• Candidates with computer knowledge
• Members of women self-help groups
• Social workers associated with non-political organizations
• Anganwadi workers
• ASHA workers

Educated individuals with good conduct who have previously undergone long-term imprisonment and have completed their sentence may also be considered eligible.

Age Limit

Preference will be given to socially active and mature individuals, particularly those above 30 years of age.

Selection Process

The selection of Para Legal Volunteers will be carried out by the District Legal Services Authority, Haridwar. The selection will be based on the eligibility conditions mentioned in the notification and the preference categories specified by the authority.

Important Instructions

• Selection as Para Legal Volunteer does not constitute a government job.
• No salary will be paid to the selected volunteers.
• An honorarium of ₹750 per working day will be paid after verification of work.
• Only individuals with a genuine interest in social service should apply.
• Candidates should not apply with the intention of obtaining employment.
• Candidates must be capable of giving adequate time to perform assigned tasks.
• Applicants from remote rural areas, particularly Bhagwanpur and Narsan blocks, will be given preference.
