The Competition Commission of India (CCI), New Delhi, established under the Competition Act, 2002, invites applications from eligible candidates for engagement of Young Professionals (YPs) on a contract basis. The appointments are to be made in the following fields and locations as specified below.

Nature of Engagement

The engagement will be on a contract basis for an initial period of one year, which may be extended further based on requirements. Young Professionals will assist the Commission in the discharge of its functions under the Competition Act, 2002, and undertake work or tasks assigned from time to time.

Eligibility Criteria and Qualifications

1. LAW

Essential Qualification:

  • Degree of LL.B or equivalent from a recognized University or Institute in India or abroad, recognized by the Bar Council of India.
  • Qualified to be registered as an advocate under the Advocates Act, 1961.

Desirable Qualification:

  • Specialization in Competition Law, Regulatory Laws, Intellectual Property Rights, International Trade Laws, Corporate Law, or Financial Law.

Experience:

  • Experience in judicial or legal work in Supreme Court, High Court, Government or Regulatory Authority, Tribunal, or any similar forum.
  • OR Professor/Reader/Lecturer of Law in a recognized University/Professional Institute with specialization in Competition Law.
  • OR Legal Manager or above in a Corporate Sector organization handling matters related to acquisitions, mergers, amalgamations, or Competition Law.

2. ECONOMICS

Essential Qualification:

  • Post-Graduate degree in Economics from a recognized University or Institution in India or abroad.

Desirable Qualification:

  • Doctoral degree in Economics from a reputed University/Institution in the area of Competition Policy or closely related areas.
  • Consistent high academic performance with good analytical skills.
  • Specialization in Microeconomics.

Experience:

  • Experience in the field of microeconomic problems including international trade, investment, project evaluation, and appraisal.
  • Experience in industrial organization, industrial economics, or economic regulation including competition assessment using quantitative economic techniques.
  • OR Experience as Professor/Reader/Lecturer in reputed research institutions or universities with specialization in Microeconomics, Industrial Economics, International Trade, Econometrics, Quantitative Economics, or closely related subjects.

3. INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (IT)

Essential Qualification:

  • Bachelor of Technology or Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or Communication.
  • OR Master’s degree in Computer Applications, Computer Science, or Information Technology from a recognized University.

Desirable Qualification:

  • Linux Certification, CCNA, CISSP, CISA, CISM, or CEH Certification.

Experience:

  • Experience in digital investigation, computer forensics, cyber security, web portal and mobile application development in Open Source technologies.
  • Experience in Security Audit, bug fixing, and NIC-deployed projects.
  • Experience in Data Centre Virtualization, Workflow-based systems, Document Management, Business Process Automation, Database Design, and Development.
  • Experience in designing, implementing, and monitoring IT networks including installation and configuration of AD, Windows/Linux servers, VMs, NAS, IP Phones, etc.
  • Experience in Infrastructure Management, Configuration, and Maintenance of Switches, Routers, Call Managers, IP Cameras, NMS, Video Conferencing Systems, End Point Security, and Active Directory Services.
