Position Details

• Employment Type: Contract for Service (Initial 3 years or Co-terminus with the project, whichever is earlier)
• Project Duration: Till July 2027 (Renewal subject to project extension and satisfactory performance)

Job Location

Salary and Pay Details

Base Salary: ₹1,50,000 – ₹4,20,000 (Consolidated, per month, depending on qualifications and experience)

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification: Ph.D. / equivalent in Life Sciences, Biological Sciences, or allied areas.

Experience: Minimum 19 years post-qualification experience, including at least 5 years in a managerial role, preferably in industry with understanding of product development. Relevant experience in development of vaccines, biotherapeutics, or medical devices/diagnostics is essential.

Desirable Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in grant management at a leadership role.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements for product development.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and issue-resolution skills.
• Experience in team building, strategic planning, and budget management.
• Experience in partnerships across industry, government, NGO, academia, or startups.
• Knowledge of national and global health research ecosystems.
• Proven ability to operationalize strategies for organizational growth.
• Commitment to quality programs and data-driven evaluation.

Age Limit

Maximum Age: 55 years as on the closing date of application.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Mission Programme at PMU with strategic planning, execution, and evaluation.
• Manage and mentor Technical Coordinators and vertical leads.
• Develop strategies for program efficiency and timely implementation.
• Ensure rigorous, scalable research outputs aligned with Grand Challenges India’s mission.
• Manage stakeholder engagement across academia, industry, SMEs, and global health networks.
• Oversee financial, legal, and compliance management for all contracts and agreements.
• Lead communications, outreach, and dissemination of program outputs globally.
• Assess and mitigate program risks; ensure quality assurance and stakeholder satisfaction.
