The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has invited online applications for the Integrated 71st Combined Main (Written) Competitive Examination from candidates who have successfully qualified in the Preliminary Examination. Salary and Pay Scale

All positions are under the 7th Pay Commission as per the Government of Bihar. The pay levels are:

Level 6: ₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400
Level 7: ₹44,900 – ₹1,42,400
Level 9: ₹53,100 – ₹1,67,800

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have qualified in the 71st Combined Preliminary Examination.
A Bachelor’s Degree (Graduate) from a recognized University is mandatory.
All eligibility conditions must be fulfilled as per BPSC norms.

Age Limit

Minimum Age: 20 or 22 years (depending on the post)
Maximum Age: As per category-wise Bihar Government rules
For most Level-9 posts, the minimum age is 22 years.
For Level-6 and Level-7 posts, the minimum age is 21 years.

Application Process

Applications must be submitted online only through the official BPSC website.
Login to the "View Dashboard" portal using the same credentials used in the Preliminary Examination.
Pre-filled details from the preliminary application will appear; verify them carefully before final submission.
Incomplete or incorrect applications are liable for rejection.

Application Fee

As per General Administration Department Resolution No. 15568, dated 21.08.2025, no examination fee is required for the Main Examination.

The final selection will be based on the total marks obtained in the Main Examination and Interview. Marks obtained in the General Hindi paper will not be counted towards merit ranking.
