Eligibility Criteria

1. Nationality: Candidate must be an Indian citizen.
2. Educational Qualification: Graduate from a recognized university on or before 01 August 2025.
3. Physical Standards:
   • Height:
     • UR / BC / EBC (Male): 165 cm
     • SC / ST (Male): 160 cm
     • All Female Candidates: 155 cm
   • Chest (Males only):
     • UR / BC / EBC: 81–86 cm (expanded)
     • SC / ST: 79–84 cm (expanded)
   • Weight: All Female candidates – Minimum 48 kg
   • Transgender: Physical standards equal to SC Female candidates

Age Limit (as on 01 August 2025)

• UR Male: 20 – 37 years
• UR Female: 20 – 40 years
• BC / EBC (Male & Female): 20 – 40 years
• SC / ST (Male & Female): 20 – 42 years
• Government Employees (Bihar): Relaxation of 5 years
• Ex-servicemen: Relaxation up to 57 years as per rules

Application Process

Applications will be accepted only through online mode. Candidates must apply on the official BPSSC website. The process includes registration, fee payment, uploading of photograph and signature, and final submission.

• One application per candidate using a single mobile number and email ID.
• Registration and acknowledgment printout must be preserved for future reference.
• Incomplete or incorrect applications will be rejected.
• Pregnant women are not permitted to appear in PET.

• Application Fee (All categories including Male, Female & Transgender): ₹100/-
• Payment Modes: Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, UPI
• No other payment modes will be accepted.

Selection Process

1. Written Examination:
   • Preliminary Exam: 200 marks, 2 hours, questions on General Knowledge and Current Affairs.
   • Main Exam:
     • Paper 1: General Hindi – 200 marks, 2 hours
     • Paper 2: General Studies, History, Geography, Mathematics, Mental Ability – 200 marks, 2 hours
2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Running, Long Jump, High Jump, Shot Put
3. Medical Examination & Document Verification
4. Final Merit List: Based on Mains Exam + PET performance

Reservation Details

Reservation will be applicable as per the Bihar Reservation Act 1991 and subsequent amendments.

• 35% Horizontal Reservation for Women (only domicile women of Bihar eligible).
• 2% Horizontal Reservation for Ex-servicemen.
• Reservation for Transgender as per 2021 notification.
• EWS Reservation as per Bihar 2019 rules.
