Eligibility Criteria

• Education: Class 10th + ITI (NTC) + NAC in relevant trade
• Minimum Marks: 60% for Gen/OBC, 55% for SC/ST in both NTC and NAC
• Desirable: Knowledge of regional language (Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi depending on unit)

Age Limit (As on 1st July 2025)

• General/EWS: 27 years
• OBC (NCL): 30 years
• SC/ST: 32 years
• PWD: 10–15 years as applicable
• J&K domicile (1980–1989): +5 years
• Experience-based relaxation: Up to 7 years (in prescribed format)

Selection Process

1. Stage I – Computer Based Examination (CBE): Trade-specific, 100 marks. Shortlisting in 1:5 ratio. Cut-offs: UR/EWS: 30, OBC/SC/ST: 22.5
2. Stage II – Skill Test & Document Verification: Qualifying in nature. Final merit based only on CBE score.
3. Exemption: Best/Runner-up Apprentices in All-India Skill Competitions are exempted from CBE and directly called for Skill Test.

Medical Standards

PwD candidates must submit a stamped medical certificate issued by a Government Hospital or Medical Board attached to Special Employment Exchange.

Additional Instructions

• Admit Cards and all communication will be through email and the BHEL careers website.
• Examination is trilingual – Hindi, English, and regional language (Tamil, Telugu, Kannada). Foundryman: Hindi/English; Electronics Mechanic: Hindi/English/Kannada only.
• Candidates must retain the same email ID for one year.
• Documents must be original and valid at the time of Skill Test.
• Applications not meeting the requirements or incomplete will be rejected.
• Multiple applications from the same candidate will lead to disqualification.
• Legal jurisdiction for disputes will be the city of the respective BHEL unit.

Posting & Transfer Policy

Selected candidates will serve in the allocated Manufacturing Unit for a minimum of 20 years. No transfer requests will be entertained during this period.

Transfer in unavoidable personal cases will be subject to position availability and revert to original Grade A3 seniority.
