गंगोली हाट क्षेत्र में नाबालिक लड़की के शादी किये जाने की सूचना पर पिथौरागढ़ पुलिस द्वारा नाबालिक लड़की  की शादी को रूकवाकर दोनों परिवारों की काउंसलिंग की गयी। परिवार जनों द्वारा कानूनी प्रावधानों की जानकारी के अभाव में अपनी गलती स्वीकार करते हुए लड़की के बालिग होने पर शादी किये जाने के सम्बन्ध में लिखित सहमति दी गयी। पुलिस द्वारा दोनों परिवारों को भविष्य में इस प्रकार का कृत्य करने पर वैधानिक कार्यवाही  करने के सम्बन्ध में चेतावनी दी गयी ।

On the information about the marriage of a minor girl in the Gangoli Haat area, the Pithoragarh Police stopped the marriage of the minor girl, and counseling was done for both families. Accepting their mistake in the absence of knowledge of the legal provisions by the family members, written consent was given regarding the marriage of the girl when she attains majority. Both families were warned by the police regarding legal action if they commit such an act in the future.
