स्वास्थ्य मंत्री डाॅ0 धन सिंह रावत ने असम के राजकीय प्रवास के दौरान वहां के स्वास्थ्य मंत्री केशब महंत से मुलाकात की। इसके उपरांत उन्होंने श्री महंत के साथ संयुक्त रूप से वहां के स्वास्थ्य विभाग के उच्चाधिकारियों की बैठक ली। जिसमें वहां के अधिकारियों ने असम की स्वास्थ्य सेवाओं एवं अन्य स्वास्थ्य परियोजनाओं का प्रस्तुतिकरण दिया। इस दौरान उत्तराखंड सरकार द्वारा स्वास्थ्य के क्षेत्र में किये जा रहे कार्यों व भविष्य की योजनाओं से भी अवगत कराया गया।

सीएम धामी ने नेताजी सुभाष चंद्र बोस आवासीय छात्रावास कौलागढ़ के भवन का लोकार्पण किया। 04 करोड़ 09 लाख 40 हजार रुपए की लागत से बना यह भवन एक साल से कम समय में बनकर तैयार हुआ है। सीएम ने इस अवसर पर छात्रावास के बच्चों को गणवेश पहनाए और कंबल भी प्रदान किए। सीएम ने आवासीय छात्रावास का अवलोकन कर छात्रावास में दी जा रही सुविधाओं का जायजा भी लिया।

सीएम धामी ने मुख्यमंत्री आवास में भू-कानून के संबंध में उच्च स्तरीय बैठक लेते हुए अधिकारियों को निर्देश दिए कि भू-कानून के लिए बनाई गई कमेटी द्वारा बड़े पैमाने पर जन सुनवाई की जाए और विभिन्न क्षेत्रों से जुड़े लोगों और विशेषज्ञों की राय ली जाए। उन्होंने कहा कि भू-कानून के लिए विकेंद्रीकृत व्यवस्था के लिए गढ़वाल और कुमाऊं कमिश्नर को भी शामिल किया जाए।

जानकारी के मुताबिक हादसा कुंजा में गुर्जर बस्ती के पास हुआ। बताया जा रहा है स्कूटी सवार पांवटा साहिब की तरफ जा रहा था। जैसे ही उसकी स्कूटी गुर्जर बस्ती कुंजा के पास पहुंची डंपर ने उसे जोरदार टक्कर मार दी। हादसे में स्कूटी चालक डंपर के नीचे आ गया। घटना की सूचना पाकर पुलिस की टीम मौके पर पहुंची और घायल को एम्बुलेंस की मदद से अस्पताल पहुंचाया। जहां चिकित्सकों ने उसे मृत घोषित कर दिया।
