पोलैण्ड से हरिद्वार घूमने आयी विदेशी महिला वेरोनिका का हरिद्वार स्थित होटल में पर्स खो जाने पर इसकी सूचना हरिद्वार पुलिस को दी गयी। हरिद्वार पुलिस में नियुक्त कमल सिंह मेहरा द्वारा अपने काफी अथक प्रयास के बाद विदेशी महिला का पासपोर्ट व डाक्यूमेंट ढूढँकर सकुशल सुपुर्द किया, जिस पर विदेशी नागरिकों द्वारा हार्दिक आभार प्रकट किया गया ।
