चारधाम यात्रा के दौरान ऋषिकेश क्षेत्र में पुलिस द्वारा गंगा घाटों एवं अन्य क्षेत्रों में सक्रिय अंतर्राज्यीय चोर गिरोह के 11 सदस्यों को 17 मोबाइल फोन व ₹ 1 लाख से अधिक नगदी के साथ गिरफ्तार करने में सफलता प्राप्त की गयी। गिरोह के सभी सदस्य गोंडा उत्तर प्रदेश के है। व तीर्थ यात्री बनकर गंगाघाटों व अन्य स्थानो पर श्रद्धालुओं का समान चोरी कर लेते थे ।

During the Chardham Yatra, police in the Rishikesh area succeeded in arresting 11 members of the interstate gang of thieves operating in Ganga Ghats and other areas along with 17 mobile phones and more than ₹ 1 lakh in cash. All the gang members are from Gonda, Uttar Pradesh. And used to steal the belongings of devotees at Ganga ghats and other places by becoming pilgrims.
