On the occasion of the holy festival of Bhaiyya Dooj, the doors of the famous Yamunotri shrine were closed for the winter season at 12:05 pm with Vedic chanting. With police protection, the palanquin of mother Yamuna left for Kharsali (Khushimatt) village from Yamunotri with drums and dhols under the leadership of Shanidev Maharaj.
