According to the forecast issued by the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of lightning along with heavy rain at some places in Chamoli, Udham Singh Nagar and Bageshwar districts on August 8 today, for which an orange alert has been issued. Whereas there will be a yellow alert for heavy rain at some places in Dehradun, Pithoragarh, Nainital, Champawat and Uttarkashi districts.
