According to the forecast issued by the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rain in some places in Uttarkashi and Bageshwar on August 2, for which an orange alert has been issued. Whereas, a yellow alert has been issued in view of the possibility of heavy rain with lightning in Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Dehradun and Nainital districts.
