According to the forecast issued by the Meteorological Department, heavy rain is expected at some places in Nainital, Udham Singh Nagar and Champawat districts of Kumaon division on August 1, for which the Meteorological Department has issued a red alert. While an orange alert for heavy rain has also been issued in Dehradun, Pauri, Tehri and Haridwar.
