According to the information, soldier Kamal Singh Bhakuni (24), resident of Chanuda, Bunga tehsil of Almora district, was posted in 16 Kumaon Regiment Manipur. While on duty, Kamal got shot under suspicious circumstances. He was martyred in this incident. After the information about the incident, there has been a wave of mourning in the state. Kamal Singh Bhakuni had joined the army only four years ago. He had returned to duty after leave only 25 days ago.
