Smuggling of owls increases on the occasion of Diwali. In such a situation, the Forest Department had instructed the employees to intensify patrolling for the protection of owls. According to the information, a box was kept on the side of the road on Mussoorie-Dhanaulti motor road. Some suspicious people were standing there. As soon as the forest department team reached the spot, everyone ran away from there. When the Forest Department team opened the stomach lying on the roadside, they recovered a Himalayan Wood Owl from it.
