Approval of about Rs 135 crore for controlling Ganga river water pollution

In Kotdwar assembly, the main tributary of the Ganga river, the Khoh river, tapping of 09 drains falling into it and 21 MLD. A budget of about Rs 135 crore has been approved for the construction of a sewage treatment plant under the Namami Gange Project for controlling Ganga river water pollution. This approval has been given in the 52nd Executive Committee meeting of the National Clean Ganga Mission and Ministry of Jal Shakti. With this, the polluted Khoh River in Kotdwar will be cleaned.
