In Uttarakhand, efforts to connect Gangotri and Yamunotri by rail line have started. Rail Vikas Nigam Limited has planned to connect Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham with the rail line. On the proposal of the state government, the Railway Board has agreed to share the data related to the project. It is being said that starting from the Doiwala area of the capital Dehradun, the railway track will pass through about 22 bridges and 22 tunnels. During this period, there will be 10 stations on the route, including two loop line stations.
