According to the Meteorological Department, a yellow alert has been issued for heavy rain in some areas of Udham Singh Nagar of Kumaon division. Whereas in the plains there is a possibility of light rain along with strong thunder and lightning. Meteorologists have issued an alert of heavy rain from 11th to 14th September. The first snowfall of the season occurred in Badrinath-Kedarnath Dham on Sunday.
